Not exactly secrets, but mainly observations I made after going through lots of blogs whose owners have become rich just by blogging. I kind of noticed a similar pattern in how they work or function. The first step is for your blog to be a success and different people measure their level of success differently.
Few things I noticed in all successful blogs:
1. Strong Content - These bloggers know what they are talking about. They stick to the point and they inform as well as educate their readers. Their content or posts are organized, concise and catchy which is really hard for everyone to achieve. The reason their content is strong is because of the following point.
2. Niche Experts - They have chosen that particular niche they are talking about cos they know almost everything on that subject. They are masters in the subject which makes it easy for them to produce quality content fast. They don’t waste time thinking what they have t write about today instead write it directly cos they have huge wealth of knowledge in their head. So don’t ever try to make blogs on topics you have no clue about just because another person has become successful with it.
3. Set Targets - They have an aim and set targets for each month on various things. They do this because they want to conquer their niche in the best possible way. They want to eliminate all competition not by a whisker but by a huge margin and when you have like these people waiting for huge challenges, it merely derails the competition.
4. Time Management - They allocate time for everything everyday. Some post just once a day, while others post 2-3 times a day. The posting times are spread evenly which gives time for their readers to leave quick comments and also catering to the global audience by posting in different times. They set times of the day where they spend some time leaving comments or their thoughts on other blogs/sites. Each and every minute of their day is put to fruitful use. Of Course, this can be difficult for bloggers who work or study or for those who post content when some topic comes to their mind.
5. Many revenue options - They try to get the most out of all money making techniques like selling advertising space, from affiliate programs, holding contests, some even sell stuff on their blogs like ebooks etc. So lots of ways from which money can be made.
6. Determination & Perseverance - Well this is one of the most important point. Even if you have all the above points with you, but are not determined to go that extra mile, then you will never reach where you intended to before. All Pro bloggers are very determined and thats an important quality which drives them to success.
7. Transition Point - Everyone starts their blog without the intention of earning even a dollar. Its when you think of money and blog you don’t end up getting any. The transition point that i am pointing to is these bloggers know when its time to Transit from a website/ blog earning no revenue to a website for business.
8. New Changes - Fear is what these bloggers don’t have. They are not scared to try out any new thing on their blogs and most of the time end up in successfully implementing what they set out to do.
9. Consistency - If you want to post once daily, then do that consistently. Don’t post once for 1 day and then stop posting for a while, as that might just hurt your readership. Successful bloggers are very consistent with their quantity as well as quality of their content.
10. Patience - Nothing is easy in this world. You just have to earn anything and everything. There are no short-cuts to success and blogging is not meant for someone who is looking for quick money to be happy for the moment. Blogging is a slow and steady process and the pace picks up after a while, which is when you turn your success into a business and reap your fruits of hard-work and persistence. So if you think you have the patience and the tenacity to live your life through your blog then I don’t see any way why you wouldn’t succeed.
These are just my insights on what I think makes a Successful Blogger rich.
