Exclusive Interview with the man behind BlogEngage
Tue, Jul 15, 2008
Today, one of my good online friend was kind enough to spend some time for me to interview him (Name has been withheld as he wanted it to be anonymous). He is none other than the man behind BlogEngage.com. The idea behind Blog Engage is to promote interaction between bloggers by “Engaging” with each other’s blogs. The Interview is given below…
How old are you and what do you do in the Real World?
I’m 29 years old and I work in Sales and Marketing. I’m a graduate of Business Administration Marketing co-op program.
When did you start BlogEngage.com and Why?
I started blog engage about 8 months ago and the response had been traffic. I started blog engage to help other bloggers get traffic to their blog. The most important part is getting people to Engage with the blogger and not simply vote for their article!
How many Dot Com do you own and are they all as successful as Blog Engage?
I own a few and no, none are as successful as Blog Engage. This is my baby and has been doing the best. I do put a lot more effort into marketing and promoting blog engage. Maybe if I was to show the same dedication to my other domains I would see a difference.
Do you think a person can earn a living online?
Well I guess this depends what country you’re from. I imagine it can be done seeing people are doing it but these people are few and far between. I just don’t see myself becoming one of these people. I love what I do for a living and wouldn’t stop anytime soon.
What do you aim to achieve in the Virtual world?
I simply want to have fun, meet people and become known for helping other people out. I’m not doing this for any particular reasons I just want to have fun. So far it’s been a great go and things are working out.
How do you deal with Competition?
I embrace competition and welcome any other sites like blog engage to get started! I know I have many sites like mine but we know who was here first. Over time you should see all the sites can be popular. It’s a big world and there plenty of members for us all.
Your advice or tips for all bloggers out there who strive to become big on the Internet
I would suggest showing dedication, being yourself and working hard at what you do. Research your topics, ensure you know what you’re talking about and you’ll be fine. Don’t give up on what you want in life. Work hard towards your goals and you will never loose.
I think Blogengage is one of my favorite sites as I get good traffic from there and each post of mine gets engaged a lot. Its a very busy site and if your article is catchy and good, you will get surely get a lot of traffic.
I hope that this interview will inspire many people to start something unique and different and achieve success.
