General

Generally Bloggers tend to be so busy in the Virtual world that they forget small things in the real world which could be very crucial in life. Some of the things they forget might happen while traveling as they are engrossed in trying to pick out the gadgets they can take with them, but sometimes forget the basic necessities required for the gadgets to even just work.

Traveling Tech

I have just highlighted what I thought is a check-list for all Tech Travelers….

1. Be Light - Now I am assuming techies don’t fly to boring places where there is nothing tech related. So, if you are going to a tech literate place then its always good to lighten your load as you don’t want to carry unwanted gadgets that don’t work in other countries. Always take only what is necessary.

2. Adaptability
- Different countries use different plug adapters. Make sure you take the right one with you else you would regret it a lot.

3. Extra Battery
- Always carry a spare battery for your laptop or your phone as you might not know when it might come in handy.

4. USB Sticks and Mini Mouse
- I don’t think you might forget them but don’t carry too many USB sticks as it can lead to confusion.

5. Check Yourself
- Always keep a scanned copy or an online copy of all your travel documents somewhere on your email account or something incase you loose one of the documents.

6. Baggage size - Remember the Baggage size on most airlines are allowed to a max of 56 x 45 x 25(cm). Don’t try to take gadgets more bigger than the size mentioned.

7. Calling Cards
- Always good to get hold of calling cards of the country your traveling too. Will be really useful incase your phone goes against you.

8. Currency Exchange
- Don’t ever forget to exchange currency from your current one to the currency of the country your are traveling to. Always carry extra cash in hand just incase you might run into trouble.

9. Language Barrier - There are lots of sites on the internet that talks about various languages, how to speak them and read them. Some places in the world people speak only the native language, so if you don’t know the language, you are going to have a miserable time.

10. Time Management
- What you do in the virtual world should not affect your normal life in any way, so always know what time it is, moreover be aware what time your flight or train is, so that you don’t miss anything.

As Everyone says, Time is Money right?

So, Has anyone had any bad experience while traveling? Would love to hear them all……

Another tip that weighs nothing so it’s easy to carry - an online password manager. So that when you are using a public computer you can make use of Disposable Logins (aka 1 Time Passwords).
