Themes

Lots of people I know are looking for custom made blog themes. I am looking for one myself. The only trouble is finding a designer or design company good enough to give you your money’s worth. And after finding a good designer, you will find out that they are most probably busy with some project or another.

Custom Made Blog Themes are the in-thing right now when it comes to Wordpress themes. Premium themes are good but will never give your blog a unique taste. Almost all Top bloggers have a custom made theme. Its not coincidence but its what sets them apart and thats why they will get noticed very easily.

Inspired to Design

Why should you invest in a Custom Blog Design?

1. Be Different
- If you go for a job interview with the exact same qualifications as every other person in the room, you will never get that job. If your qualification is different that many, the odds of you getting noticed are higher. You have the choice to incorporate whatever you want and can possibly imagine into a custom theme. An attractive unique design will catch anyone’s eye and together with quality content is a sure winner all the way.

2. Increase Traffic - No blogger who switched from a commonly used theme to a custom theme will ever deny the fact that their traffic had gone up after the change. When people see a refreshing change, something different from the ordinary, they spend more time hanging around your blog, thus increasing page views and feed subscribers.

3. First Impression is the Last Impression - How many people visiting your blog ever bother to come back? It comes down to 2 things. Either they don’t like your content or your theme is dull and not lively enough to encourage anyone even to leave a comment. You need every visitor to come back again and a custom theme will help in just that. Your First impression becomes a Lasting impression.

4. Exclusivity
- Your theme will never be seen nor made by anyone on the net. People will stay around your blog for a longer time as they love going through your blog. New Designs, Colors, Logo etc will give your blog a more professional look. People will notice your personality from the design and that your someone who means business and not blogging just to fool around.

5. Inspiration - If I look at New York Times Website, I get inspired to write and I wish I could write for them. Their site is just too professional. A boring dull design can discourage you from creating good content which is the whole idea of a blog.

In short, Blog content and Design go hand in hand. A good blend of both will surely have you a successful blog. So, Will any of you invest in a Custom Blog Theme?

I am looking for a good custom blog designer, so if anyone knows a quality professional design company, do contact me asap.

Some nice points. I’m going to have to look into this more deeply because my design really sucks!
    Thanks for reminder.

Awesome points. Definitely worth investing in but since I’m cheap I rather just make a premade layout unique and I don’t have the time to design my own template for wordpress as those take way too long. But thanks for the post.
And by the way I really like your layout.

I guess I can’t add anything… It’s more probably because of branding… You don’t want to look the same as other guys…

A lot of people think they can’t do anything to personalize their theme because they are not good with html/css or it will take too long. There are very simple ways to differentiate your basic theme from others.

Don’t forget that you can add/remove text widgets from your sidebar quite easily. Make sure there are useful things over there to grab attention (notice I said useful). You can also make sure you include an interesting image in each post.

These things are not as eye-catching as a totally new layout, but they will surely get you closer than you were before.

hi Prem thanks for visiting http://sherrygo.blogspot.com/

I still dont know how to change the blog template. I got friend telling me check this blog and that.. but in the end. I still can’t do it.

You are doing great with your blog. :)

I agree with the point of being exclusive but whether it will help to improve the traffic, I’m yet to see the effect.

I for one will invest on one when the time is right. You have made some really good points here.

Completely agree with this. Though, for the broke noobs it’s a bit harder to start out with a great custom theme. Getting one of the premium themes is a decent step in the right direction and if you can at least change up the colors and such it will give your blog a nice clean and professional look even if not completely custom.

That’s true, what I don’t understand is why premium themes cost so much when they aren’t exclusive like custom themes - other people can buy them too, and your blog won’t be the only one with that theme. But I have no idea how much work goes into making themes, so maybe I’m not being fair. Theme designers also have bills to pay :P
