Boost your blog traffic with BlogBurst

Everyone wants more traffic. People crave for traffic. What if you needn’t do anything other than submit your RSS feed somewhere and get tons of traffic. All that is required is a blog producing good content and I mean a really good blog.
What is BlogBurst?
BlogBurst is a syndication service that places blogs on top-tier online destinations and is a product of Pluck Corporation based in Austin, Texas. Let me explain in Detail. BlogBurst has many clients which are some of the Top sites and News Media sites on the net.

To name the most familiar ones:
1. Reuters
2. USA today
3. Fox News
4. Gannett
5. McGraw-Hill
6. Internet Broadcasting
BlogBurst allows people to submit their blog url and feed. They then individually go through your blog thoroughly for content, age of blog, Search Engine strength and various other factors. Now if you don’t get accepted then bad-luck but if you do get accepted, your article has the chance to be on Reuters, USA Today etc. Imagine lots of people reading your article and checking out your blog for more. Your blog link will be mentioned at the beginning of the article and people are sure to check it out.
But the most important catch in all this is all blogs won’t get accepted. Tech Suave is just over 2 months old and I knew it wouldn’t get accepted as I applied at a time when there were hardly any posts in it. So i applied with my movie site Reel Suave and it got accepted in less than 24 hours. I think it was because Reel Suave was more than 6 months old and had a PR of 4. So far, 3-4 articles have been published on Reuters and Chicago Sun Time and daily getting 300-400 and some days 1000+ views for certain articles. BlogBurst has also mentioned that if you already have a blog accepted the next time you apply for a blog, the chances of it being accepted are pretty high. So, recently I did have another go at BlogBurst with TechSuave. Hopefully, it should click.
It’s something which I hope bloggers do give it a try. Most importantly, it will give your blog’s name more exposure. A small BlogBurst acceptance can transform your blog from low-traffic one to a blog buzzing with traffic.

I’ve been using this service for over a month now and have seen some success from it. On May 15th, I posted a review of Rob Zombie’s horror flick, “The Devil’s Rejects”. The next day, I check my activity on BlogBurst and was surprised to see that I had over 30,000 headline impressions on Reuters for that day only! I also had over 100 post views. Here is a link to “The Devil’s Rejects” review on Reuters.com: http://www.reuters.com/article/blogBurst/entertainment?bbPostId=B2bHcF8LBKntBDbl3X6P30Y2BDpANsOGsrVQB4PCgCL50gvU

Won’t this be bad for SEO because you will have duplicate content?

Good Point Fitz. Well, if it was bad for SEO it will mostly hurt the News Media site taking your content. So obviously
I think Reuters wouldnt have partnered if they thought something was not right. Actually almost all RSS syndication services are like that.

Thanks Prem!
Could be a winner - depends on the quality of the blogs we submit, I guess?
Have submitted one of mine, a PR2, to see how it goes….

You don’t need to worry about duplicate content because your feed is displayed within a javascript widget and javascript isn’t read by search engines.
